I know Varun and Amrit for 2 years now. we used to see each other during paris FashionWeek. these guys are part of the nicest and most interresting person I know Actually.
They helped me a lot when I arrived in Dlehi because NIFT didin't have any accomodation for international students.
They hosted me like a prince and I won't never forget it!

Varun Sardana is for me one of the most interesting indian brand nowadays. indeed, they mix extremly well indiand fabrics and texure to design extremly girly, glamourous and luxury outfits.
their collections are always a kind of fairytale made of siquins, origami and colours.

My degree: BF(Tech) Apparel Production

semester 5 and 7

My subjects: AQM (Apparel Quality Management) ; POM (Production organisation System; F&M (fashion and merchandising); RDBMS (Random Database management system)

the philosophy: more complicted it is, better it is! you have to learn by heart everything but you don't have the right to take notes (and you don't have the time), the teacher is reading his powerpoint which will be given to the student at the end of the semester only before the exams.

Example: POM courses

equation to find the best location for your production appart from the transportaion cost from your retailers: TREND EQUATION

T=1,2,3...time data / b= Slope of line/a= value of Y when T=0 / n= number of data points

Yt= a+bt

a= Ey = BEt/n

b= nEty-EtEy/nEt2 - (Et)2

(nice!....)

RDBMS courses:

Introduction :

         I/ Data (sing=plur):

Any information usefull for a organisation can be considered as Data.

         II/ Data Base :

Collection of related Data containing info about a specific organisation.

         III/ Data Base Management Software : (DBMS)

It’s a collection of a Database and a setup programs to access that Database. The purpose of the software is to provide environment that is convenient and efficient. In storring and retrieval of Data from the Database.

IV/ Advantages of DBMS :

Before the advent of computers, Data was tored manualy on papers. After the invention of computers, Data used to be stored on text files also called flat files. Althought i twas more convenient that manual system, for huge amount of Data, manipulation of Data was difficult.

An organisation following this method have to employ software ingeniors, for manipulation of Data and also has the requirement of the company grew for making changes in the program.

Software development companies came out special software for storing and manipulating data and in the same time in cooperated a lot of other features also.
